The plain version
A handful of the outbound links on The NAD Review are affiliate or referral links. Follow one, then start a treatment or buy a product, and we may earn a commission. Your price stays exactly the same — the payment comes from the merchant's side, never yours. That revenue is what keeps the research going and the lights on.
What the money buys, and what it doesn't
Here is the honest shape of it. What a commission never buys is a softer write-up, a better verdict on the evidence, or a different price for you. What it does affect is order: affiliate partners are listed first on our ranked pages. That is a commercial position, and we would rather state it plainly than have you infer it. Everything we say about each option — the pros, the cons, the red flags, what the trials do and do not show — is written the same way whether we earn from it or not.
Editorial independence, kept separate
We keep a firm wall between the writing and the revenue. Whoever researches and scores a product isn't working from a list of who pays us, and no advertiser gets to review, approve, or soften our coverage before it goes live. If the evidence is thin or a product disappoints, we say so — commission or not. Our editorial policy spells out how we reach a verdict.
The kinds of relationships we have
To be concrete: our compensation can take the form of affiliate commissions when a reader signs up or buys through a tracked link, referral fees for sending a qualified visitor to a provider, and the occasional advertising arrangement. Whatever the form, the rule above holds — it pays for the work, it doesn't shape the conclusions.
